A headset in its simplest form is a handset you wear on your head!
Well not quite, but, it does offer exactly the same functionality as a handset, but with the added bonus of allowing both your hands to be free whilst talking on the telephone.

Otherwise termed Mono. These Headsets are used in environments where conversing with colleges is important, the headset mimics a handset with only one ear covered.

Otherwise termed Duo. These headsets are used in environments where it is important for the user to have total call concentration, with both ears covered with a receiver.

Where the headset has an adjustable headband wearing style. Headbands can be made from flexible metal or plastic coated for extra comfort, all are adjustable to provide maximum comfort.

Where the headset is worn over the ear either by way of a ‘hook’ style or ‘loop’ style fitting. Some ear hooks and loops are made of a soft mouldable plastic for extra comfort and stability.

| · Standard Microphone
A standard microphone is not selective in the sound it picks up. Some standard microphones are ‘fixed’ to the headset others have a removable sound collection tube that will need to be changed every 3-6 months.
Standard microphones are only suitable for working environments where the noise levels are reasonably low.
